Bringing chic interiors to the Malvern Hills

Hidden Art has for the first time collaborated with The Big Chill, in association with Finlandia Vodka, to launch a platform for contemporary design at The Big Chill festival at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in the Malvern Hills this summer.

The Big Chill has tapped into Hidden Art’s 1,800-strong network of up-and-coming designer-makers via the Hidden Art Design Brokerage, and has commissioned an exciting bespoke range of lifestyle products for The Big Chill Shop and a Love Seat for the Finlandia Cocktail bar.

Hidden Art designer-makers are producing an exclusive limited festival line from pillowcases by Kate Storer, mouse mats by Michelle Mason and postcards by Robert Frith, to customized disposable cameras by Juice available from the Big Chill Shop.

The stunning red Love Seat by Charles Trevelyan was selected from a variety of unusual and eye-catching submissions from Hidden Art designer-makers, inspired by the theme of the Finnish Midnight Sun. Charles is also working on a chandelier commissioned by Heals via the Hidden Art Design Brokerage. He will be exhibiting at 100% Design with Hidden Art in September.

The Big Chill festival is a music, art and lifestyle event that takes place over one weekend every August. A night-time arts trail, Media-Mix tent and abundance of theatrical performers are the creative highlights that have seen the event’s reputation grow and grow.

Katrina Larkin, co-founder with Pete Lawrence, said: ‘The Big Chill is not just a festival, it’s a way of life and we’ve always wanted to extend our commitment to creativity beyond music and visuals. Our relationship with Hidden Art is the perfect synergy for The Big Chill to be a showcase for young designers.’

Dieneke Ferguson, chief executive of Hidden Art, said: “We at Hidden Art reflect The Big Chill‘s vision of transforming the spirit of our times within our own creative community. We are excited to expose our designer-makers to a like-minded audience interested in unique and cutting edge design.”
