Glimpse inside the studios where contemporary design takes shape

For the first year, fourteen Hidden Art designer-maker studios will be opening their doors to the public in September during the London Design Festival and 100% Guaranteed.
Hidden Art Open Studios provides a unique opportunity for design enthusiasts to visit the studios in east London where contemporary furniture, lighting and products are designed and made. Visitors can meet and talk to designer-makers and buy or commission work directly. Many of the studios will be offering special discounts during the event. The studios have been chosen to represent the broad range of traditional and innovative work produced by Hidden Art designers in ceramics, furniture, textiles, lighting and accessories.
Hidden Art designer-makers make up a significant part of London's design industry. The proliferation of small studios around areas of east London such as Shoreditch, Hoxton and Hackney gave rise to the development of the creative zones for which London is now internationally renowned.
Hidden Art Open Studios is an established event that has taken place every November or December for the past ten years, enabling Christmas shoppers to buy design gifts and meet designers in their studios. This is the first Hidden Art Open Studios to take place in September during the London Design Festival and 100% Guaranteed. Participating studios and designers are:

Entry to all studios is free. Addresses of participating studios and opening times will be published in the 100% Guaranteed guide and on www.hiddenart.com. These studios are not normally open to the public and arrangements would need to be made for visiting them outside of these hours.
