The Hidden Art Forum is a crucial event for any design company wanting to develop their business. Over two days it aims to develop a better understanding between designers and manufacturers and encourage new relationships in this sector.

 

Through a series of lively and informative seminars and panel discussions it will look at how manufacturing companies operate, giving examples of best practice, and uncover the many issues involved in production. There is also the opportunity to hear about the success Hidden Art Design and Manufacture Project and find out how to get involved in the scheme.

 

This year’s Forum takes place at FurnitureWorks – the new resource centre at London Metropolitan Univeristy – on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 July. Speakers include highly specialised companies in the design, support, promotion, education and manufacturing industry. These include:

As part of the Forum designersblock have curated a two-day exhibition called ‘Risk’ – showing a range ofinnovative and experimental projects. The show looks at how designers acknowledge and manage risk, using it as part of strategy to reach their preferred markets.

 

There is a general fee for registration (one day is £23.50 for Hidden Art members and £35.25 for non-members and both days cost £35.25 for Hidden Art members and £58.75 for non-members). This year Mazorca Projects is offering FREE spaces to members of the press/media. These are limited therefore please register before Monday 7 July to secure your place.
