Giles Miller teams up with Stella McCartney

Giles Miller's Wall Designs for Stella McCartney

Hidden Art member Giles Miller has completed the design and production of a bespoke wall covering for the changing room of Stella McCartney’s new store in Paris. The store, which opened last month, incorporates Stella’s trademark eco-consideration, and this passion for sustainability was perfectly represented by the intricate and intriguing wall covering, which incorporates Giles Miller’s well-renowned cardboard ‘Fluting’ technique.

The marriage of his totally original and highly innovative exploitation of corrugated cardboard with Stella’s classic horse print has combined to make for an interior finish like no other. The move sees the fluting process in yet another appropriate context, and it was followed immediately with an invitation to join forces with Stella in designing a Cardboard Christmas Tree for the renowned ‘Sapins de Noel des Createurs’, where the tree was auctioned off for charity alongside other big hitting designer’s creations including the likes of Jean-Paul Gautier, Gucci, Hermes and Paul Smith.
