Legal Issues in Craft and Design - November Networking Session

7 November 18:00 - 20:00

This Networking Session focuses on the important legal issues involved in protecting your designs. It goes in to detail regarding contracts and legal relationships with manufacturers and retailers.

Networking sessions are FREE to all Hidden Art designer-maker members.  
 
Please also note the Decmeber networking Session has changed date, from Wednesday 5th December to Thursday 6th December.

Hidden Art Awards 2007 - Thursday December 13
 
The fourth Annual Hidden Art Awards ceremony, to mark the achievements of Hidden Art members, will take place on Thursday 13 December at Rich Mix on Bethnal Green Road.  
 
An exhibition of a selection of shortlisted members will be on show at the Rich Mix ground floor gallery from 5 - 17 December.
 
Full details about the Awards including categories and online voting can be found at www.hiddenartlondon.co.uk/awards.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 16 November 2007.
 
You can vote for any Hidden Art member, including yourself, using the online nomination form.

Shortlists will be announced in late November.

Hidden Art Open Studios 2007

This year the event will be brought back to its East London roots, with Hidden Art members from acorss the UK involved. As well as the regular studios opening their doors to the public, you can also visit the Hidden Art Fair at Abney Hall in Stoke Newington and Hidden Art members at the Hothouse Open : Crafts in London Fields.

Hidden Art Open Studios Walking Tours

For the third year in a row Go East London are teaming up with Hidden Art to organise two walking tours to coincide with the Hidden Art Open Studios, weaving between East London's historical sites and the designer-makers' studios.

Hidden Art Cornwall Shop at Cornwall Design Week

Running from 19-24 November, the 3rd annual Cornwall Design Week is being organised in partnership between Cornwall Design Forum, Hidden Art Cornwall and the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society. As well as exhibitions and open studios across Cornwall, range of events and exhibitions will take place at The Poly in Falmouth and, for one week only, Hidden Art Cornwall will be setting up shop in the downstairs box office.
 
Visitors shopping in Falmouth in the run-up to Christmas will have the chance to buy the best in Cornish design from Hidden Art Cornwall designer-makers. The Hidden Art Cornwall shop offers visitors the
opportunity to treat themselves to something special or seek out that

Dimensions: 3 x 1 sq. mtr.
Price: £420.00 includes shell scheme stand, fascia with a name board and 2 spot lights 120W each, entry in Exhibitors catalogue and event website, 10 passes for the buyers and all promotion and publicity.

Making the Most of Your Stand or Stall


Do you want to exhibit and sell your work at a Christmas show, trade fair, craft market or summer festival?
Exhibitions are a great place to test your products, perfect your sales pitch and diversify your customer base.

This is a CIDA programme of three workshops, one expert panel and a research visit will give you the tools to minimise risks, attract customers and produce a checklist that ensures you are organised and ready on the day.

Crafts Council Library Visit

Hidden Art members are invited to attend a preview session at the refreshed Crafts Council Research Library.

The library has been closed to visitors for some time, giving the Crafts Council team time to reflect on what the service is for and what it can offer. This session will give an introduction to the renewed service offered by the library ahead of the opening of the Research Library to the public in January 2008.
 
The session will last around 2 hours and can host up to 15 attendees.

Work in inspiring surroundings
Are you looking for office space to work on a creative project?

Siobhan Davies Studios has two office desks available to hire. The desks are in an open plan office and are available on a flexible basis for project work or longer contracts. The hire rate of £75+VAT per desk per week includes a wide range of facilities and services.
