at UBS Investment Bank from 9.30 – 18.00pm.
The aim of the day is
to equip you with the tools to grow your business in the
global market place and increase sales. You will get an update on the
latest opportunities to sell abroad, hear how to prepare for collaborative successful
tenders, find out how others have built up their business
successfully and have the opportunity to network.

around 40m² to 60m² of exhibition space on which to build their own
installation in their new and exciting forum for creative talent, 100% Futures.
This is
your opportunity to create something different and unexpected in a creative and
fresh arena. 100% Design realise that the space you take is usually constrained
by budget – this is your opportunity to branch out and do something different.
The
criteria for the installation is open; you can explore a current theme or topic
in the design industry; showcase a project or product you are working on or
simply showcase your company in an interesting and unconventional manner. The
winner will be chosen by the 100% Design panel (see website for further details

An opportunity exists for Hidden Art
Level 2 London members to work with groups of UBS executive staff in
Hampshire on Friday 20 June.

London level and are interested in taking a leap forward developing your
business, but want some outside advice, then why not sign up to this unique
opportunity.
About the Ascent Leaderview Project
ASCENT is a UBS leadership learning
and development programme for UBS employees who have shown exceptional talent
and are destined to be future leaders within the organisation. Each year
a selection of employees (c60) are nominated to participate in yearlong project
within which, as teams, they will investigate or review key strategic UBS
projects. This work is undertaken in addition to their
day jobs. During the final week of the programme, all the ASCENT participants
from around the world come together for a debrief and on the final day they will
be advising and working with Hidden Art members.
June Networking Session – Selling Your Work
6-8pm, Wednesday 4 June
The next Hidden Art networking session Selling Your Work will be
held on 4 June, 6–8pm, at Hidden Art.
This session aims to offer advice about developing effective strategies
for selling in different environments, understanding the options and benefits
of different sales avenues, and gaining tips from successful sellers.
All Hidden Art members can attend the monthly Networking Sessions for
FREE. If you have not already done so, please reserve your place here.

Opportunity for a
discounted stand for Hidden Art London members and Hidden Art UK members based
in Devon
There are a few
stands remaining for the Hidden Art Cornwall Design Fair at
Godolphin House over the August bank holiday weekend. We would
like to offer this to Hidden Art London members and to Hidden Art UK
members based in Devon. This is the first opportunity for UK
members based in Devon to participate in the Hidden Art Cornwall Design
Fair.
We are offering the
stands at a discounted rate so it will now cost the same to
participate as Hidden Art Cornwall members.
The available stands are
2.5 x 1.5m or 2 x 2m and will be allocated on a first come,
first served basis.
One-to-One Selling Consultancy Session
17 June, 10am – 5pm
All London Level 2 members are eligible for a one to one consultancy
session (one per calendar year only).
This month’s Selling Sessions are each one hour long and are run by Femke
Teunen, a UK design agent for contemporary design.
Femke can give an insight on how to price your work, market new products
and aim for the right outlets, as well as offer advice about selling techniques
and ways to approach buyers and retailers.
More sessions with Femke are available
throughout the year. Sessions are also available with Keith Benson (who will
talk about Funding) and Marion Gillet (Product Development).

The Hidden Art
Directories ahave undergone a complete overhaul, they are now the prime source
for an up-to-date list of contacts who can help you with your work.
From
Manufacturers to Business Consultants, Graphic Designers to Web specialists and
IT masterminds, the list covers almost every contact you will need when
establishing or expanding your business. Remember that any Hidden Art Level 2 member can use their Support Voucher towards the
services of anyone listed on the Hidden Art directories.

UK designer-makers who launched their new products at SaloneSatellite, on the Hidden Art Stand, had a great exhibition.
With
a massive audience and a great stand layout, the Hidden Art
designer-makers drew in interest from many different sectors.

Submit Products for the Hidden Art E-Shop
The
Hidden Art E-Shop’s next product assessments are taking place on are 30 may, then 13 June. Ideal products for this period will be along a
Spring/Summer theme.

Manfrotto
WOW Design Contest
Manfrotto is
looking for young creative people, students, artists, designers from all over
the world to invent the support of the future. Send us your ideas, your
projects, your dreams on how the next generation photo/video support should be.
Participation is free of charge.
The winning
project will be realized on a prototype and will be officially presented during
a press conference organised by Manfrotto at the Salone del Mobile 2009.
FX International Interior Design Awards
Deadline 20 June 2008: The 10th FX Awards
Ceremony, taking place in October, calls for entries for design
projects or products for interiors. Design categories include Leisure,
Workspace, Retail and Public Spaces.
