Tribute
to Peta Levi
Peta Levi,
founder of Design-Nation and The Design Trust, died at the end of last week,
aged 69.
We at
Hidden Art are much indebted to Peta. Dieneke Ferguson, Hidden Art’s founder,
had known her since 1992, and Peta has been an inspiration for Dieneke as well
as Hidden Art. She was always happy to help and share her contacts, insights
and knowledge and we had been fortunate to work on a wide range of
collaborative projects with Peta and DesignNation, such as the Hidden Art Forum
at which Peta Levi spoke in 2006.
She will be
deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in DesignNation, New Designers, as
well as any other initiatives she set up and those that still will be set up in
her honour.
For those
who have known Peta Levi and want to email her condolences, you can do so by
email to
condolences@designnation.co.uk.
The funeral service took place on Monday 28 April, and a memorial service will
take place later in the year.
From all of
us at Hidden Art we send our deepest condolences to Peta’s family and anyone
who has worked closely with her throughout the years.
