Marketing and PR will show you how to promote your business through different avenues. Focusing on the identification of the features and benefits of your products, you will be shown how to select the key promotional tools that communicate with your customer (including press and PR, web sites, social networking and exhibitions).

Professional Advice Session
Nicole Bachmann - Developing your Business Brand and Marketing 

Nicole’s session aims to show you the crucial areas of developing a business: how to market a small creative business and brand, and the importance of marketing yourself well. She will help you define the key stages in your market planning process so you can implement them in your business.

You can select which area you wish to focus on from the list below:
a) Developing your Business branding,
b) Marketing Yourself,
c) Consultative Selling (how to market yourself successfully and create a comfortable buying environment).

You will be required to bring the following to the session:
1) Your reason for choosing that particular theme,
2) The biggest challenge in the area of that theme, 3) Your objective for the session - i.e. what you want out of it.

Networking Session
Writing a Press Release
 

This session shows you how to Market yourself to the Press. Discover key lead times for different publications and tips about how to write a good press release and adopting the right language and style to reach journalists. You will also be shown the quality of images expected by the Press, and how to present them.

Marketing Workshop

This marketing taster session will introduce you to the key stages in marketing planning. It will break the process up into individual activities, each accompanied by an explanatory handbook and visual tool for you to take away.
