Two-day Seminar
Peter Cracknell, Marion Ingle and Institute of Materials, at Institute of Materials.

The two-day seminar assumes no prior knowledge and is suitable for those new to the subject, while also benefiting those who wish to extend their existing knowledge of plastic product design and project management skills. You can attend any or all of the half day sessions.

The morning of day one will cover Health and Safety and product legal requirement, and the afternoon session will focus on polymer factors influencing product design and specification and the influence of shaping methods upon design. Day two will feature polymer product design theory, project management and prototyping techniques in the morning, with finishing and assembly techniques and a practical design and critical appraisal session in the afternoon.

You will also need to complete the 2010 Self-Assessment form before you can be approved to take part in this event. If you have not completed a self-assessment since 16 February 2010, you will need to complete this form.
