Ryan Malone (Decode) will be talking about Decode’s collaborative approach to selling; Chiara Cifiello (Hidden Art) will be discussing online sales from her vantage point as the manager of the successful Hidden Art E-Shop; Nigel Carrier (Clarion Events) will give details on new avenues for selling through Clarion events such as Pulse and Top Drawer.
11:00 – 12:00 Parallel Sessions:
1. Selling Collectable Design
Giles Hutchinson-Smith (Meta) will discuss the philosophy and work behind Meta’s approach to setting new standards in contemporary design by combining 18th century knowledge and materials with 21st century aesthetics; Corinne Julius writes regularly on design and contemporary craft, and will be sharing her knowledge on collectable design; Gareth Neal (Gareth Neal Furniture) will be talking about his work as collectable design.
2. Selling through Collaboration
William Knight (London Design Festival) will discuss opportunities to participate in this year’s London Design Festival; Anna Hart (Mark) will be talking about Mark’s collaborations between designers and manufacturers; Sharma Guness (Supply London) will tackle the technical specifics, with information regarding the infrastructure required to sell successfully through collaborations.
12:00-1:15 Lunch
Sandwiches and refreshments provided. A casual information session will be held by Hidden Art staff members concerning the new interactive website, membership schemes, upcoming events and networking opportunities.
