Giles was educated at Malvern College and joined Mallett in 1982 until leaving in 1987 to spend time in the United States running a gallery in Georgetown. He rejoined Mallett in 1993 and joined the board of directors in 1999 becoming Managing Director in 2004.
He co-created Meta a wholly owned subsidiary of Mallett in 2008 to introduce exceptional materials to the world of contemporary design based on traditional values of lasting quality and exceptional craftsmanship. He is 46 years of age and currently CEO of the Mallett group.
