Speaker 1: Juliet Sheath
Photographer / Pool of Specialist member
Juliet originally trained as a jeweller & silversmith, completing a BA Hons in Sheffield in 1995. During the degree she learnt the basics of photography before using photography as an inspiration for jewellery design. She also capitalised on this talent by employing it as a tool to promote her jewellery. In 2004 she started working freelance for a photographer, and after completing her studio portraiture photography qualification, set up the photography business Full Focus Photography Ltd.
Currently Juliet is the main photographer in her business, which specialises in commercial shots of jewellery, textiles, ceramics and small interior products. She mainly works with small businesses and publishers. She has had photographs published in House & Garden, Grazia & Grafik.
Juliet will be speaking about ways in which photography can be used to help with the presentation of your portfolio. This includes tips for designer-makers who photograph their own work, ways to manipulate images and ways to source photographers.
