UAL's Creative Graduate Internship Programme is offered through the university's careers service Creative Careers.
Creative Careers offers 100 internships in the creative / digital sector. They want to work with employers who run small businesses to find creative graduates with the right skills and abilities.
"We can't imagine a studio without graduates. They often bring great ideas and a fresh perspective on design. The best grads we've worked with also bring a willingness to roll their sleeves up and learn as much as possible. If they are good, we would definitely consider them for work in the future or pass their name along." Mat Heinl - Creative director, Moving Brands
This is an opportunity to make use of skilled talent NOW. The scheme runs from March - Sept 2010.
With over 300k hits per month you will have direct access to top creative graduates. Creative graduates are sourced through Creative Opportunities, the established job and placement listings.
Creative Careers offer a good subsidy towards paying a recent creative graduate at least National Minimum Wage for an 8 or 12 week fixed internship.
The Higher Education Funding Council (HEFCE) is providing £13.6 million for universities who have made successful bids to manage 8,500 internships within the Government priority sectors. The scheme aims to provide real-life, meaningful, paid work experience which benefits both employer and graduate.
