f-art was established in 2005 by RichardBoxall and Stephen Davids stemming from a mutual passion for graphicdesign, vintage nostalgia and contemporary pop culture. The space wascreated in order to show everyday objects, assemblage sculpture, andprints and paintings with a strong graphic feel, by a variety ofindependent artists from across Europe, the UK and the USA. The name ofthe gallery, f-art, in its ambiguities leads the way for the thoughtprovoking and quirky nature of the objects within. f-art challenges thevisitor to reconsider the role everyday objects, phrases and imagesplay in our lives and to see that a lamp can be a thing of beauty and afaucet can be sculpture.
f-artexists as both an online environment and gallery which celebratessurprising juxtapositions linked in a sense of playfulness and joy forthe unexpected. Here can be found photography, sculpture, originaldrawings and paintings alongside found objects, furniture and vintageinspiration.
