jewellery, textiles and fashion accessories. The Hidden Art Cornwall
Design Fair was Cornwall’s first Design Fair.
The Venue
Godolphin
House is one of Cornwall’s oldest houses. The privately owned Grade 1
mansion of c1475 lies surrounded by very early formal gardens (1500 and
earlier) and lovely grounds. See
www.godolphinhouse.com for more information.
The Design Fair
The Design Fair encompassed over 50 designer-maker stalls as well as
Hidden Art Curated,
an area where individual pieces of work by Hidden Art Cornwall
members were selected by a curator and exhibited within the show rooms
of Godolphin House, chosen in response to the existing furniture and
architectural detail of the rooms. There was also the
Finer China plate raffle of 50 unique plates, design led games for children and an exhibition of products developed for the
Repeat and Variation project in collaboration with University College Falmouth's
3D Digital Research Cluster.
