Go East London teamed up with Hidden Art to organise two walking tours to coincide with the Hidden Art Open Studios, weaving between East London's historical sites and the designer-makers' studios.
Stoke Newington - 'A misty village'

For centuries this hidden London village was home to dissenters and radical writers such as Daniel Defoe and 'gothic' Edgar Allen Poe. The tour led by Blue Badge Guide, Rachel Kolsky, followed this history through to present day 'Stokie', a vibrant and creative hub of north London, ending at the Hidden Art Fair at Abney Hall.
Historic Hackney - Music Hall to Market

Blue Badge Guide Diane Burstein transported walkers to a time when cattle grazed in London Fields and City merchants inhabited Hackney's impressive town houses. The route followed the market porter's route to Broadway Market with several studios to explore.
