Product Description: PAN_07 is a concept in the pursuit of reducing the gap between digital design possibilities and contemporary manufacturing methods. The chair explores the potential of current rapid prototyping technology to produce a monolithic lightweight chair with an internal micro grid for advanced stability. Similar to the structure of bones this inner 3 dimensional mesh dynamically alters in shape and density and therefore provides maximum required stability and minimal weight at each individual location of the object. This concept was a winner of the red dot design concept contest in 2006.
Materials: Resin (prototype), Carbon Fibre (production version).
