A love of sketching and fabrics prompted the development of RachaelHowards technique of screen-printed drawings, appliquéd fabrics andmachine embroidery. Her work includes textiles for wall-hangings,cushions and fabric pictures. She enjoys the spontaneity of thedrawings, coloured in with patterned cottons of smooth, shiny pieces ofsilk, secured in place by machine stitches which enhance surfacetexture.
