Kate Goldsworthy designs multi-media textiles for the interior market, employing both hand-crafted and digital techniques. An interest in sustainable design and a desire to override preconceptions surrounding recycling, underpins her practice and has encouraged an original response to choices of materials and processes. Inspired by light, transparency and movement her pieces are multi-layered, sheer and dynamic.
Kate undertakes commissions for private and public interiors, as well as for exhibition. Her recent projects include multi-sheer window panels for London restaurant 'Pied-a-Terre' and large textile screens and wall-hangings for exhibition with the ReDesign collective (www.redesigndesign.org). Kate is currently exhibiting her textiles, translated for fashion, in the Crafts Council’s exhibition ‘Well-Fashioned’. Price range: from £250 |
