Rebecca is a designer-maker of contemporary jewellery, working with precious metals and gemstones and often incorporating more unusual materials such as rubber, sailor's whippping twine or found objects. Rebecca has been making jewellery using precious metals since 2004, and is largely self-taught; her continuing experimentation with materials and techniques driven at least in part by her scientific background.
Inspiration is derived from a wide range of sources, from classical myths and legends to the local geology of the Jurassic coast in Devon. As part of her method of working Rebecca often produces mixed-media objects (such as small sculptural pieces), as well as unique pieces of artist jewellery, which alongside a bulging sketchbook inform her main body of work.
