Charmy and Brights For over ten years Leila Khasal’s work has been sold in art galleries, boutiques and gift shops. Leila has been making jewellery ever since childhood, never thinking it could become a real career. She acquired a degree in Art History, later giving photography a brief try, but constantly being drawn to jewellery making. She draws inspiration from a multitude of sources; Art history, vintage collectables, natural shapes and travelling, letting her work reflect her Swedish/Iranian heritage. She likes playful juxtapositions which evokes associations to the wearer’s life and imagination. She likes to describe the jewellery as vibrant and wearable for style conscious ladies of all ages. Her two main lines she refers to as 'Charmy' and 'Brights'. Charmy is an eclectic mix of charms, pendants and beads for the contemporary nostalgic, looking back inspired by the past but still very much in the present and aware of the fashion of today. 'Brights' is a line with cleaner lines and bolder shapes, easy to wear pieces to finish and complement an outfit. She also has a smaller line with sterling silver and semiprecious stones where the materials have been allowed to decide the design. Prices range from: £5 – £65 |
