The nature of glass is one of contradiction:chemically defined as a fluid, our senses reveal it to be solid. Theslumping and casting process uses these qualities, its flow isincreased with temperature and when cooled its flow is frozen recordingthe process by capturing texture, contours and air echoing geologicalstructures which have gone through similar processes. The randomelements of the process hint at tangential forms. It is thisreiterative process of incident, recognition, action and refinementthat has fuelled the progress of recently produced work.
