I make thrown stoneware bowls and vases which I decorate by incising a very simple motif onto what is most often a black or white satin glaze...veins on rock, ripples on water and meandering horizon lines are an influence. Shape and finish of the work in general I try to understate, aiming to produce items that are spare and minimal.
Trained Harrow (1993-96)...set up studio at The Chocolate Factory, Hackney...and worked from there for several years before moving to Cornwall. Based at Gaolyard Studios in St Ives since then.
