My Cake stands, which I think of as drawings in discarded ceramics and glass, started as a one off commission and quickly became an obsession... mostly retrieved from a lost life, illustrated and assembled. All my work is delicate and special but designed for use in our everyday lives with a strong aesthetic centre around a story of a sketchbook narrative entwined in our lives as they unfold. These cake stands work in a range of sizes from the smallest, sweet little tea cups with side plates all the way through to the stands suitable for weddings and large events, or just piling your favorite things onto. They make wonderful additions to your home not only confined to the kitchen, the layers can be filled with favorite earrings and powder puffs or the T.V remotes on the coffee table.
Cake stands can be made to commission with personal touches, or purchased when you see one that takes your fancy on line.
