The programme is aimed at anyone wishing to get further assistance developing their work from an idea into production and into the marketplace.
 
This is achieved by continuing to bring together designer-makers with manufacturers, suppliers, specialist advisors, mentors and project partners, while also providing extended support for all participants.
 
The 2008 programme incorporates suggestions made by the Hidden Art members that participated in 2007 to tailor it more to members’ needs. 
 
 
For 2008 this programme includes:
 

  • Hidden Art forums, offering advice and expert opinion on design-focused issues.
  • A structured time table, including regular, access to information and events to assist you with achieve your aims. 
  • Hidden Polymers Programme – run in association with the Polymer Centre at London Metropolitan University will be run again. The aim of this project is to develop a design idea into production using polymers, on their own or mixed with steels and metals, and release it on the market. More details available here.
    The Hidden Polymers Programme will also feature seperate Hidden Polymer Modules, more details on these modules can be found here.
  • The opportunity to submit a tender for the Hidden Art Select range for the Hidden Art E-shop. Further details on Hidden Art Select 2008.
  • Specialist Interest Sessions - Informal discussion groups intended to focus on problems and share solutions. Set topics will be established in advance. These will be held bi-monthly on Tuesdays at the Hidden Art offices between 10-12pm. NEW! 1-2-1 Product Development Surgeries - We are launching surgeries for Innovative Routes to market members to discuss product development issues. Once available, these sessions will be advertised here - watch this space for further details on how to book a slot.
  • Making It Digital - New for 2008, Hidden Art Cornwall are running Making It Digital in association with the Research Cluster at University College Falmouth. The aim of this project is to enable participants to access and explore the potential of digital technologies and work with the 3D Digital Production Research Cluster at University College Falmouth to develop innovative new products and release them onto the market.
  • Further benefits include access to discounted support, and automatic entry for the Hidden Art Innovative Routes to Market and Hidden Polymers Award.
  
Innovative Routes to Market is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, with additional support provided by UBS Investment Bank. Project partners include the London Metropolitan University, Knowledge East (a collective of eight universities in East London and the Thames Gateway), Briffa, Own-IT and London Remade.
